Lee Jarboe is a working mother of two.   When she or her husband have to travel, the hardest thing to do is leave their children.  She and her husband try to make their travel fun and educational.  They've put a map in their kids' playroom to show where they are travelling and their children can point out where they live and where mommy or daddy are going on their work trip.  They are also a family spread across the United States with relatives in Texas, Ohio and Washington, just to name a few, so geography is important.  Geography gives an understanding of both location and distance while laying the foundation for appreciating differences – people, food, culture, weather, etc.  Their cul-de-sac neighbors are an international cross-section of wonderful people and diversity is the norm.  Finally, the Jarboe family loves the outdoors! 

Lee has created a children’s book series that inspires kids to learn and visit the featured locations by showing outdoor adventures with real world photos.  It encourages kids to get outside to have amazing real life experiences beyond just watching it on screen.  She believes a lifetime of learning and creating family experiences starts early, and sincerely hopes you and your family enjoy the Scout About series.

Lee received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston and is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM).  Originally from Houston, Texas, Lee now resides in Alpharetta, GA with her husband, daughter and son, and when not working, she enjoys family time, volunteering, traveling and being outdoors (camping, hiking, fishing, etc.).
